Le Grand Mazarin
Paris, France

Introduction

Located in the historic Paris district of Le Marais, just a stone’s throw from the Hôtel de Ville, close to the Seine, at the corner of rue de la Verrerie and rue des Archives, Le Grand Mazarin is a new Parisian address with an eclectic and flamboyant décor.

The city of lights invites tourists to explore the charming surprises and unusual discoveries the city has to offer. Old world charm, and at the same time visionary and cosmopolitan, Le Marais has become the epicentre of new trends. A lively and avant-garde district, sparkling with creativity and vibrancy both day and night.

Rooms and Suites

The historic 14th-century building that is now home to Le Grand Mazarin boasts a refined yet eclectic décor thanks to the signature style of acclaimed designer Martin Brudnizki and is characterized by its quirky and surprising touches.

The 50 rooms and 11 suites reinvent the art of living in Paris. Staying here is like being on a journey which transports you from the magnificence of the past to the lightness of today.

Whether it is a solo stay, a couples’ getaway or a family trip, Le Grand Mazarin offers luxurious comfort through its adjoining rooms and suites. There is even a completely independent three-bedroom duplex with a large balcony on the top floor, offering a breath-taking view of the Marais.

Restaurant & Bar

The restaurant’s name, Boubalé, is a Yiddish term used by Ashkenazi grandmothers to show affection for their loved ones, highlighting the restaurant’s emphasis on generosity and warmth.

Boubalé tells the story of a love affair with cooking that goes back to the dawn of time. It’s a story that began on the edge of Eastern Europe, traveled to Jerusalem and then stopped off in Paris, in the Marais district.

It seeks to create an unforgettable experience by immersing guests in the lesser-known Eastern Europe culture, which is as lively and vibrant as a violin tune and as light-hearted as an impromptu gathering with friends. Boubalé aims to become the heart of the Marais district in Paris, pulsating with a celebration of life and the joy of sharing genuine emotions and is a place dedicated to the pleasure of being together.

The Patio is a unique space, highlighted by artist Sophia Pega. The intimate decor exalts a moving elegance. Perfect place for cocktails or private lunches and dinner.

The retractable roof makes it perfect all-year long: at summer, it is a calm open sky space. At winter, heaters and roof make it the perfect place for private groups lunches and dinners.

At Le Bar de Boubalé, the atmosphere works its magic, offering moments of divine tranquility or vibrant excitement. The subtle aromas of the signature cocktails and eclectic menu do the rest.

The warm and chic decor creates an ideal ambiance for engaging in endless conversations, where the world can be remade and the joy of sharing becomes infinite, even as the night grows late.

Nestled in the depths of Le Grand Mazarin the Library Bar is a modular, changeable decor; unexpected and unforgettable for sure.

Wellness

Representing the ultimate luxury in the Marais, Le Grand Mazarin’s swimming pool adorned with sumptuous mosaics invites guests to a relaxing stopover, with a separate jacuzzi and a hammam.

Whether sitting on a lounger or gliding through the water, you can’t help but admire the vaulted ceiling and columns decorated with a magnificent fresco painted by the visual artist Jacques Merle, which recalls the poetic imagination of Jean Cocteau. An invitation to journey through the imagination which gently plays with the reflections of water.

Le Grand Mazarin’s unique Beauty Bar offering is thanks to an exclusive partnership with famous Parisian holistic beauty concept store Oh My Cream.

A haven of ultra-private serenity, the hotel’s treatment room is entirely dedicated to the expertise of Anne Cali, whose salon on the Champs-Élysées is well known to Parisiennes. Trained as a physiotherapist, Anne Cali has developed an exclusive massage method, the GAD (Glisser-Press-Décoller).
